What should I do if I have lost a piece of property?

If you lost property on the Lakeshore Campus, please call 773.508.SAFE to check if it has been turned in.

If you lost property on the Water Tower Campus, please go to any building's front desk or call 773.508.SAFE to check if it has been turned in.

If you believe you lost an item in a library or a building with a front desk, we encourage you to go to that front desk and see if it has been turned in.

All items turned into Campus Safety as "lost property" will be kept for 90 days.  After that time items are donated to various charities or destroyed.  

I lost my LUC ID. What should I do?

You should immediately report the loss of a card so that it can be deactivated to prevent any unauthorized use of the card. During normal business hours this can be done by going to the Campus Card office located in the Sullivan Center on the Lakeshore Campus or going to Student Services at 25. E Pearson on our Water Tower Campus.

I lost my university key and am locked out of my room. What should I do?

For a residence hall room, you need to contact your Resident Assistant or Resident Manager. 

If you are faculty or staff you need to report it immediately to Campus Safety, you can do so by calling 773.508.SAFE. You need to also notify your supervisor.
