Community Care Notices

In addition to Loyola Alert and Crime Alerts, Campus Safety shares information about non-emergency incidents that occur nearby Loyola campuses. These Community Care Notices are shared via Campus Safety’s Twitter account (@LUCCampusSafety). These incidents do not fall within patrol boundaries (and therefore do not require a community-wide email notification under the Clery Act), but could still impact students, faculty, and staff. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Relevant crimes that may occur outside of patrol boundaries (i.e. robberies, gun violence)
  • Off-campus disturbances (i.e. fires, accidents)
  • Transportation issues (i.e. Red Line delays, road closures near campus)

Community Care Notices are shared based on the discretion of Campus Safety. They are only distributed Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Should a notable incident take place overnight, the Community Care Notice will be posted the following morning.

We encourage you to follow @LUCCampusSafety on Twitter and sign up to receive push notifications from the account to help you stay informed.

Campus Safety’s Twitter account is not monitored 24/7 and not intended to be used for emergency notifications. For emergencies, please call 773-508-SAFE (7233) or 911.
