IF YOU HAVE LOST AN ITEM

If you have lost an item, try to think where it was lost.  If it was lost on one of Loyola’s campuses, there is a chance it was turned into Campus Safety.  You can call 773.508.SAFE or visit the above locations to determine if something has been turned in.

Lost and found items are held for 90 days, items not claimed within that timeframe will be donated to various charities depending on the item.

Campus Safety does not take the following items in as found property; water bottles, hats and gloves, cables and chargers, paper notebooks, perishiable items, other items of low monetary value.

IF YOU HAVE FOUND AN ITEM

If you have found an item on one of Loyola’s campuses, you can bring it to Campus Safety at the locations above.

CONTACTING OWNERS OF FOUND PROPERTY

If an item is turned into Campus Safety and we are able to identify the owner, an email is sent to that person’s @luc.edu email address.  Examples of this are ID’s, items with the person’s name written on them, laptops, etc.

OTHER LOST AND FOUND

There are places and buildings on campus that have their own unofficial lost and found.  Examples of this would be the libraries, dining halls, student centers.  If you lost an item in one of these locations, it is advised that you check there first.
