AED/CPR
Campus Safety officers receive training in providing CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillation) as first responders to someone who requires medical assistance. Campus Safety officers carry AEDs in their squad cars.
There are also several AED's located in various locations on campus marked with an AED sign. The purchase, placement, and maintenance of any AED is the responsiblity of the respective department.
Campus Safety also works very closely with LUCEMS to advocate CPR/AED education and training. LUCEMS offers CPR training classes to Loyola students, faculty and staff and low cost training for outsiders. Please visit their website for more information.
