About
Ginger Schroers, PhD, RN, CNE, joined the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing faculty in 2011. She received her BSN from the University of Illinois Chicago, MS from North Park University, and PhD from Villanova University. Dr. Schroers is a Jonas Scholar alumni, and a member of the National League for Nursing (NLN), Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS), and Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES).
Research Interests
Dr. Schroers’ research focuses on educational methodologies, healthcare system issues, and interruption science with an emphasis on interruption management. She is currently investigating an innovative behavioral interruption management strategy, termed Stay SAFE, during nurse medication administration. The strategy aims to mitigate errors and improve task efficiency.
