Program Highlights
State-of-the-art learning
SIMULATION AND VIRTUAL REALITY help students develop clinical skills and confidence in a realistic, risk-free setting by “treating” high-tech manikins and patient actors. Virtual reality offers additional learning opportunities.
Gain real-world experience
THANKS TO LOYOLA’S ROBUST NETWORK of clinical partners, students gain real-world experience in nursing at some of the best health care facilities in the Chicago area. In their final semester, ABSN students complete an intensive, 120-hour clinical role transition course under the guidance of an experienced nurse preceptor.
Choose in-person or hybrid learning
ABSN STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE a hybrid option with classes online or a fully on-campus experience at Loyola’s Health Sciences Campus in Maywood. All students complete simulation labs and clinicals in person.
