About
Jorgia Connor, PhD, RN is a tenured Associate Professor and the Assistant Dean of the BSN Program. Dr. Connor teaches a variety of courses including Community Health Nursing, Concepts in Professional Nursing, Nursing Research, and Concepts in Older Adult Health.
Research Interests
The overarching focus of Dr. Connor's program of research and scholarly endeavors is health promotion and disease/illness/injury prevention in underserved and vulnerable populations (e.g. immigrants, ethnically diverse populations, the elderly). She teaches a variety of courses including Community Health Nursing, Concepts in Professional Nursing, Nursing Research, and Concepts in Older Adult Health. In teaching any of these courses, she strives to prepare students to be patient-centered, holistic, and ethical caregivers and leaders.
