Freshman Admission
Information for International Students
International freshman applicants must submit the following information:
- Complete and submit the Online application.
- Submit official academic documents. These documents are often referred to as transcripts or secondary school records. All academic documents must be in English.
- If necessary, a credential evaluation may be requested in order to properly and fairly review the application. Once notified, Freshman applicants must submit a General Evaluation from Educational Perspectives or another accredited evaluation service for all secondary school records and/or a Catalogue Match Evaluation for any college level credit. Students who need to submit a credential evaluation will be contacted by the Undergraduate Admission Office.
- Submit your standardized test scores.
- If you are a US citizen (or dual US citizen), you are required to submit either the SAT or ACT, regardless of the country you are currently living in. The TOEFL or IELTS are not required, but may be submitted.
- If you are an international student and need a visa to study in the U.S., you are required to submit one of the following: SAT ACT, TOEFL or IELTS. (You may submit more than one type of test if you desire).
- The SAT or ACT must be submitted in order to be considered for Academic Scholarships.
- Submit your personal statement or essay. (Get tips from the College Board on how to write an outstanding college essay!)
- Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. You may send an e-mail request from our online application, or you can download a recommendation form: Counselor Recommendation Form.
- Submit a , including supporting financial documents.
- The must be completed by both the student and the sponsor(s).
- Financial documents can be submitted in the form of a bank statement or scholarship letter and must reflect the total cost of attendance for the 2019-2020 school year.
**Incoming students may be required to take placement exams in math, English, and/or writing. The results are used to place students in the courses appropriate to their level of preparation. In some cases, this may include a non-credit ESL class or introductory math class.
