Financial Aid
At Loyola, we're committed to making a high-quality education affordable. Our Financial Aid Office (FAO) is a dedicated partner in helping you find ways to secure the resources you need. Some of the options we offer include: scholarships that recognize outstanding achievements, talents, and service; need-based grants; work-study; loans based on a family's ability to pay; budget payment plans; and other alternative financing programs.
We understand that planning to finance a college education can be overwhelming, especially given the current economic situation. Loyola assures that every student will have the opportunity to complete a Loyola degree.

Scholarships
The application for admission to the Rome Start program is automatically an application for merit scholarships (there is not separate application form). To be considered for these scholarships, freshmen should be admitted no later than February 1, therefore the completed application should be sent to the Undergraduate Admission Office by mid-January. Each application is carefully read and scholarships are competitively awarded based on outstanding academic achievement, and standardized test scores (ACT or SAT). Admission applications are reviewed for scholarship consideration on a first-come, first-served basis. Please visit the Financial Aid Office website for more information on other scholarships.
Federal Aid
All US citizens are strongly encouraged to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applying early for financial assistance is the key to unlocking the resources you may need, because the more time we have to work together, the greater our chances of finding the perfect combination of financial resources for you.
File online: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
We recommend you file the FAFSA online. Not only is filing online faster, but many errors are revealed and highlighted for correction before your FAFSA is even submitted—which leads to easier processing and reduced need to submit additional documentation. Be sure to use Loyola's federal school code: 001710.
Loyola's priority filing date is March 1. Filing by March 1 will allow you to receive financial aid award information before the May 1 Admission Deposit Date.
