Computing Services
The Information Commons (IC) houses an array of state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and applications available to the Loyola community. These services are supported by the Division of Information Technology Services, and all computers are linked to the University's campus-wide computer network. For immediate assistance with technology-related inquiries, visit one of the Digital Media Advisors staffing the 2nd floor service desk or room 203. Software Application Support
All computers have access to a standard suite of commonly used software such as the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Internet access. There is also a wide range of teaching software and tools utilized by different departments and schools. View the standard Software Applications list for all applications available within the IC.
Printing
Printing is available in the IC just as they are in the university's computer labs. All standard IC printers are set to print double-sided (duplex) by default as part of Loyola's green initiatives to reduce paper waste. MobilePrint is the latest service that allows users to send documents via email or send documents from their personal devices directly to the printers from your Loyola email address. Scanners
Flatbed scanners are available on the 2nd floor of the IC. Scanning instructions are located beside designated workstations. Digital Media Advisors are available to provide assistance as well as special film inserts for digitizing film/slides using these flatbed scanners. Photocopiers are also located on the 2nd floor also offer the ability to scan and email or save documents directly to USB Flash Drives for active University students, faculty and staff. Wireless
