Legal Assistance
The Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic of the John Marshall Law provides veterans with a variety of legal resources. While they will not represent veterans in criminal cases, they can help veterans navigate the process of having a hearing in Veteran’s Treatment Court. They will also help to appeal disability claims pro bono.
The Veterans Practicum at Loyola provides pro bono legal representation and case management services to qualifying veterans and their family members as a member of ILAFLAN. Veterans must meet the qualifying criterion of ILAFLAN as they provide the Practicum all client referrals. Senior law students eligible for a Supreme Court Rule 711 license represent low-income veterans in active civil litigation (primarily family law) under the supervision of a licensed attorney. Their expertise they offer is in family means which means primarily divorces, allocation of parental rights, guardianships and child support issues.
