Web Training
The UMC Digital team maintains the University's TerminalFour Content Management System (T4 CMS). If you’re responsible for a Loyola University Chicago website, you’ll use T4 and supporting tools to manage content on your website.
In Loyola's decentralized model for site management, Site Content Coordinators (SCCs) hold the primary responsibility for managing, editing, and updating pages as needed. In T4, SCCs can edit web pages as you would in a word processing program. Because T4 uses a set of templates to create pages on the Loyola site, it also ensures that pages conform to the web design standards set by the University. We are working toward a consistent experience for visitors across all Loyola sites.
Getting Started
Initial T4 training is available via online recording. Tutorials and synchronous training are also available online. Go at your own pace and watch tutorials as many times as needed or sign up for in-person training. Online and in-person training covers the same material.
Expanded Training
Once you become comfortable navigating T4, please contact UMC’s Digital Team for additional training and support. You must complete T4 101 before engaging in additional training sessions. If you are the designated Site Content Coordinator (SCC) for your pages, you will participate in the following additional training workshops:
Web Training
Publishing Best Practices
This session moves beyond the functional aspects of T4 and focuses on creating a better user experience. Topics covered include content planning, accessibility, search engine optimization, and publishing checklists.

Web Training
Using the Website Template and Pattern Library
For SCCs who expect to build robust content on their sites, this session covers key branding elements like typography, spacing, and image selection.
