Canada-U.S. Relations
Trade, supply chains, and priority issues in 2024
The United States and Canada share a trillion-dollar trade and investment relationship. This economic partnership supports millions of jobs in both countries through direct foreign investment, cross-border trade, and highly-integrated economies and supply chains.
Canada imports more from the U.S. than any other country by a wide margin; Canada buys over two times more goods from the U.S. than China, and is the number-one export market for 35 U.S. states.
In this presentation, featured speaker Aaron Annable, Consul at the Consulate General of Canada in Chicago, covered some of the current dynamics and key issues—economic, security, and environmental—in this unparalleled relationship.
