Joe Raphael serves as a director of Supplier Management – Performance & Risk Management at Allstate. Joe has been in this role since 2018. During this time, he has expanded the team globally and implemented actions to mature the function including significantly growing the size of the team, the suppliers under management and the capabilities of the function.
Joe has held roles across the Allstate Corporation in both the business and technology. He worked in Internal Audit, Accounting, Reinsurance, Global Procurement and Information Technology. Joe helped lead Allstate’s SAP implementation and played important roles in delivering and supporting other strategic business and technology initiatives for the company. He led the successful implementation of new offshore teams in Northern Ireland and India for Information Technology and Global Procurement.
Joe has developed a reputation as a talent recruiter and people developer over the years. He was part of Allstate’s Finance College Campus Recruiting Team including leading recruiting efforts for Internal Audit for over five years. He has been a mentor in the Allstate Professional Latino and African American Networking groups since 2018. He has also represented Allstate on the DePaul University Internal Audit Advisory Board (2013-2018) and the Insurance Internal Audit Group industry organization (2013-2018) where he served as president in 2015.
Joe enjoys playing and coaching basketball, and he is a certified Illinois High School Association (IHSA) basketball official.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy degree from DePaul University. Joe is also a Certified Public Accountant and has earned several other professional and insurance certifications during his career.
