The Sorority and Fraternity Life community has a long-standing history at Loyola University Chicago. Sororities and fraternities were first recognized by Loyola University Chicago in 1922, and over the years, have played an integral role in the campus company. In 2022, Sorority and Fraternity Life members, alumni, and campus community celebrated SFL 100th Centennial Celebration. The Sorority and Fraternity Life (SFL) team facilitates a variety of leadership and educational programs for members of our three governing councils: Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and Panhellenic Council.

Sorority and Fraternity Life regularly partners with other university departments such as Athletics, the Wellness Center, Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Recreation Services, and the Career Center, creating and implementing programs designed to enhance the co-curricular experience for fraternity and sorority members at Loyola University Chicago.
