Neighborhood Health Initiative (NHI)
Neighborhood Health Initiative
The purpose of Neighborhood Health Initiative (NHI) is to deliver health screenings to the Humboldt Park community of Chicago. We partner with the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels to set up a medical clinic at the monthly food pantry at the Kelly Hall YMCA. These screenings allow Stritch medical students to volunteer their clinical and counseling skills while providing a much needed service to the community. Through these clinic screenings, we aim to improve access to healthcare and educate the patients we see about how to best care for their health.
