What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?

My favorite thing about working at Loyola, specifically in the School of Nursing, is working with colleagues and with a leadership team that genuinely cares about my wellbeing, growth, and success. I know I have a whole support system ready to go to bat for me and I always feel empowered to advocate for myself and my professional growth.

What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?

My most memorable achievement would probably be when I was awarded the University Staff Member of the Year Award in 2023. Later that fall, I got to be recognized on the court alongside other staff award recipients during a Ramblers basketball game!

What does Loyola's mission mean to you?

To me, Loyola's mission is all about questioning. We're encouraged to constantly question what we learn and to reflect on our experiences in order to understand how we each can best lookout for our fellow neighbors.

What motivates you to succeed each and every day?

I'm most motivated to succeed when I think about my role in contributing to student success at LUC. In the school of nursing, I contribute to our program evaluation efforts to ensure we're giving our students the best possible education. I love doing work that contributes to bettering our students' experience.

Tell us how you show your Rambler pride:

I show my Rambler Pride by never leaving LUC! I started my undergraduate career here in 2015, began working here professionally in 2019, earned my master's here in 2022, and just started a doctorate program that will keep me here for at least another 3-5 years. I've found so many different forms of community and support here, and Loyola has truly become another home for me.
