What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola? My favorite thing about working at Loyola is having a team of coworkers that are both supportive and fun. Because everyone does their part, and supports one another when needed, we have the opportunity to have an enjoyable and fun office environment (when that was a thing). I have worked in office environments that are not supportive and are not fun, and that experience taught me that having coworkers you get along with and that support each other is a large part of work/life balance.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee? My most memorable achievement at Loyola was being promoted to manager. I had only been at LUC a couple of years and was honored and humbled that my bosses thought enough of me to give me the promotion.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you? The end result of Loyola’s mission; students going out into the city of Chicago and world at large to make it a better place, is the main reason I work here. Loyola does so much great social, medical, environmental, and educational work for the city and society in general. I like being a part of that, no matter how small my role is in the grand scheme.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day? My answers above. Being a part of this university and not letting my coworkers down.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride. Wearing my Rambler Athletics polo when I golf and telling anyone that asks where I work that I work at LUC and how great it to be a part of this place.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you. That my hair was incredibly long in high school. Like, by the end of high school and for a few years after, it was down to the middle of my back.
