What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
The commitment of our students to their passions is second to none. They strive to make Chicago, and our world, a better place.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
I worked with a student who was on the fence about applying for a research opportunity with Harvard during the summer. Knowing the student’s abilities, and her strength in science, I encouraged her to do so. She was one of the few undergraduate majors chosen to take part in that experience—many of her peers that summer were current medical students. That was one of the more noticeable times where I was able to assist a student achieve a major milestone in her academic career. I’ll never forget that.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I align with Loyola’s mission of expanding knowledge to serve humanity. Education has the power to change one’s life and the blueprint of their future. Loyola’s diversified curricula offers students a wealth of diversified knowledge that they can use to better our world.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
Good role models, colleagues, and mentors. It’s easy to succeed when you have wonderful people to lean on. There’s never a shortage of people who want to help at Loyola.
