What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
One of the best parts about my job is that I get to meet, interview, and film fascinating people, including students, staff, faculty, and alumni who are extremely passionate about what they do and have truly made a difference in the lives of others. I find their passion inspiring and motivating. I wish I could bottle it up! I also feel lucky to have made some great friends at Loyola.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
This year will be my fourth year producing the Founders’ Dinner video series with help from members of the advancement and student multimedia team. Every time I see those videos play on multiple screens the evening of the gala, I breathe a huge sigh of relief and joy. Being able to share the stories of these extraordinary alumni and knowing the awardees are seeing those videos for the first time too is something I’m very grateful for.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
I love Loyola’s mission of social justice and the idea of taking care of the whole person. I try to incorporate social justice in the multimedia work I do for my job as well as in my personal relationships and volunteer work.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
I always want to do better, improve on my skillset, and learn more from others and the world around me. You’ve only got one life—go live it to the fullest! I also feel grateful to work with incredible students and feel lucky to see them learn, grow, and succeed.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride:
Everybody has a story, and I love to document the stories of Loyola. Whether I’m interviewing students about the fall season, producing a video about Magis, or following a student at Arrupe College, I try to do so with honesty and respect for the subjects I’m working with. At the same time, I want to show how these individuals reflect Loyola’s values and mission.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
My parents always thought I would become a writer.
