What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
I'm surrounded by many people who give their all and then some for Loyola and our students. Plus, many of these smart, dedicated, and talented people have decided to be my friend, which makes me very happy and lucky.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
In 2013, Enrollment Management helped the University enroll the largest freshmen, graduate, and professional classes in the history of the University. Great teamwork from the Enrollment Management departments and wonderful, consistent contributions from staff and faculty in the schools helped us reach our goal. Success is much sweeter when it takes teamwork.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
Inclusiveness. I appreciate that our mission and our promise guide us to explore and build extraordinary lives not just for our students but for our faculty, staff, and larger communities in which we find ourselves.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
I suppose my parents get the credit here. They instilled a strong work ethic in me, either through heredity or good parenting. Beyond that, Enrollment Management's job is to tell the Loyola story in compelling ways so future students decide to enroll. When I engage with the University community and see that story in action, I'm so delighted, and it motivates me to find more interesting ways to tell that story.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
I convinced my husband to consider Loyola for graduate school (and he loved it). I'm sure I'll be equally as persuasive when my son is ready to join the Class of 2036.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
At a White House Correspondence Dinner many years ago, Drew Carey and Jerry Springer told me they loved me.
