Years at Loyola: 11 (I came to Loyola in 2002 for my freshman year of college and have been a Loyolan ever since.)
What is your favorite thing about working at Loyola?
Loyola has given me a community and I cannot be thankful enough for that.
What is your most memorable achievement as a Loyola employee?
Completing my MBA and MSIMC degrees while working as a recruiter for Loyola’s John Felice Rome Center. As a recruiter, I traveled frequently and I remember one week I had a final, flew to Los Angeles to attend a study abroad fair, jumped on another flight to Columbus to drive to Wheeling, West Virginia, for my second fair of the week and then back to Chicago for my next final. I did great in both classes, made it to both fairs, and when faced with lost luggage between Los Angeles and Wheeling, simply bought a dress on my drive to the study abroad fair. Pursuing my degrees while traveling for work taught me to be adaptable and that may be my biggest achievement.
What does Loyola's mission mean to you?
Loyola’s mission means so much to me because it has been a part of my life since I was 18 years old. It reminds me that we are all here to serve.
What motivates you to succeed each and every day?
I don’t know that I succeed each and every day. I’ve always been much more of a, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are” kind of gal. On a daily basis I make an effort to do the best I can and be kind to people in the process.
Tell us how you show your Rambler pride.
At home I wear no less than three pieces of Rambler gear (Loyola sweatpants, t-shirt, and sweatshirt) at any given time. I also attend a ton of events. I am Loyola through and through.
Tell us something most people at Loyola would be surprised to know about you.
I am still using the Chicago Plus CTA card. (I have until July 1.)
