University Staff Council

Annual Recognition & Excellence Awards

Each year the Staff Recognition and Excellence Awards honor professional contributions and quality service of our University staff with special public acknowledgment for their contributions and exemplary work. University Staff Council offers 6 distinguished awards: Staff Member of the Year, Kay Egan (Person for Others), Megs Langdon (Person for Community), Student Service (Person for Students), Team Spirit and Rising Star (New Employee).

Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to nominate an eligible staff member for one of these Annual Recognition & Excellence Awards in 2024. This year's ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 3:30 pm in the Damen Student Center Sister Jean Room.

The Staff Recognition and Excellence Award initiative is a collective effort by University Staff Council and Human Resources. Learn more about each award below.

University Staff Council's Staff Recognition and Excellence Awards recognize the extraordinary professional contributions and quality service of our University staff (non-exempt and exempt) and their integral role in advancing Loyola University Chicago's mission and fulfilling Loyola's promise in preparing people to lead extraordinary lives.
