Dr. Dentato presented at the Annual International Meeting of the Society for Psychotherapy Research
The Society for Psychotherapy Research is an international, multidisciplinary scientific association devoted to research on psychotherapy. SPR encourages the development of research on psychotherapy as well as aims to support and enhance both the empirical basis and applied value of research on psychotherapy. The 49th Annual meeting took place during June 27-30, 2018 in the vibrant city of Amsterdam, Netherlands at Vrije Universiteit.
Dr. Dentato presented on the important role of utilizing the SBIRT model to assess for substance use among LGBTQ youth, as well as two panel presentations on mental health treatment and care for LGBT clients with colleagues from Rutgers University, University of Toronto, Barry University and Arizona State University. In between attending the conference he also visited the Anne Frank House & Museum, a Banksy exhibit at the Moco Museum, the Homomonument, as well as other local sights.
