Advertising and Public Relations
Chicago is home to hundreds of advertising and public relations agencies, including Edelman, Leo Burnett and Golin. These industry leaders handle advertising and public relations for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, such as HP, eBay and Dove.
Loyola University Chicago’s School of Communication is located within blocks of these major advertising and public relations firms. Students studying advertising and public relations routinely network with industry insiders inside and outside of the classroom. Many of our students intern at these prestigious organizations.
Our location and access to these industry leaders is what makes Loyola University Chicago one of the best places to study advertising and public relations.
Loyola University Chicago is also home to Chicago’s first and only student-run communication agency, Inigo Communications. Inigo is a learning laboratory, where students collaborate to produce a variety of deliverables for Inigo’s clients. These clients have included United Airlines, Avionos and The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce. Students who are part of Inigo receive mentorship from Golin, a leading global PR agency. Students can also join The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and Ad Club, both of which focus on networking and professional development.
