    Lauren Sanchez joined the School of Communication in August 2016. Prior to her role as Assistant Dean, she spent seven years in the College of Arts & Sciences at Loyola, first as an academic advisor, then as Senior Academic Advisor from 2012-2016.

    In addition to advising Loyola students, Lauren has served as a mentor in the Rambler Connection Program, as a member and committee co-chair on Staff Council, and as an instructor of the UNIV 201: Transfer Student Seminar, a course that assists transfer students in acclimating to the Loyola community.

    In the spring of 2016, Lauren served as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida Atlantic University, teaching an online Appreciative Advising course to working professionals in higher education. She served in a similar capacity at the University of South Carolina, and in the summer of 2016, she was honored to serve as a faculty member at the sixth annual Appreciative Advising Institute at Florida Atlantic University.

    In her spare time, Lauren enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and exploring all of Chicago’s diverse neighborhoods.
