Ignatian Heritage Month Student Art Contest
CSA invites Loyola students to reflect on Ignatian values through art during Ignatian Heritage Month. The contest celebrates student artistic endeavors as it draws upon the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) set forth by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits): Caring for our Common Home, Journeying with Youth, Walking with the Excluded, and Showing the Way to God.
Submissions being accepted now here!
Submissions due Sunday, November 10.
Submission Guidelines:
- Students will submit photography, digital art, or photos of visual art in response to one of the Universal Apostolic Preferences (UAPs) listed above.
- Along with the art submission, students will submit a brief statement (around 250 words) responding to the question: What inspired you to create this artwork, and how does it relate to the UAP you selected?
- The submission form allows up to five files to be attached with the submission. If submitting multiple images for one piece of art, send them together in one form. If making multiple submissions, use a unique form entry for each one.
- The submission form requires you to use Loyola login information in order to accept attachments.
- The submission form requests additional information about the student and the piece.
- The piece can be an existing piece of artwork in your portfolio but must relate to a UAP.
- The student submitting the entry must be the person who completed the piece of art.
- The artist must agree to CSA sharing the image on social media and printing/displaying the piece if selected. (Please note, not all pieces will be shared publicly.)
Prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third place as well as for People's Choice.

CSA Peer Mentor Program
Are you interested in meeting other Loyola students who value service and justice? Are you looking for more connection and community on campus? Consider joining our CSA Peer Mentor program as a Mentee! Mentees will be matched with CSA Student Leader Mentors to build friendships together.
Matches agree to meet at least once a month one on one. Mentees will be paired with a Peer Mentor based on what they are interested in. There are limited spots for Mentees each Fall (opening again in Fall 2025) and not everyone will be matched, simply because we have limited Mentors available. Please email us if you are interested or have any questions serve@luc.edu
