Michael Dubin
Aspire, Learn, Grow
As a result, Michael transitioned into the world of legal technology, recently securing a position at Epiq- a leading provider of Legal Technology & Services in their Legal Solutions business unit as a Client Services Senior Project Analyst for their eDiscovery Sass platform.
The sense of community at SCPS, despite its largely online nature, stood out to Michael. Through repeated classes with the same cohort, he built lasting friendships and professional connections. The camaraderie extended beyond the digital classroom, with occasional in-person meetups in downtown Chicago. Instructors were consistently supportive, contributing to a learning environment that was collaborative and personal. This sense of belonging further encouraged Michael’s growth, both academically and professionally.
Now an SCPS ambassador, Michael emphasizes the importance of networking and seizing opportunities to grow—even in uncomfortable or unfamiliar situations. He advises students to have a goal, use the resources at their disposal, and build a network of peers, faculty, and alumni. Michael believes that by fostering a curious mindset and staying open to learning, students can achieve their professional and personal aspirations, just as he has.
“Be willing to be uncomfortable. Put yourself out there. If you don't feel comfortable networking, just try. Try to find somebody that you know you can connect with, and just know that you're going to have the support behind you to get through the program and continue to build on your aspirations and goals.”
