Di Biagi, Flaminio
About
Di Biagi, a native of Rome, was hired by John Felice himself and has taught more than 3500 JFRC students. After living and studying for many years in the U.S. and travelling coast to coast nine times, he considers himself American-at-heart. He was visiting professor at St. John’s College of Charleston. He teaches Literature, History of Film, Language, Stylistics, and Immigrant Experience and has published extensively. His books cover topics concerning film history including Fellini’s Roma, Rome Open City (about the film that represents the beginning of neorealism), and a guide to the Rome locations connected with cinema; literary analysis; three critical editions; several translations from English, including books by Conrad, Melville and London; and many articles in academic journals. His translation of Heart of Darkness has appeared in multiple editions. He has participated in countless conferences and literary events and is often interviewed in the Italian media, appearing on radio, on television, in documentaries, and in newspapers.
