Global LLC

Alt Tag Goes Here

The Global Living-Learning Community connects students closely with faculty and staff, challenging students to critically examine their experiences through a global lens and gain an understanding of cultures and perspectives other than their own. The Global LLC will accomplish this by connecting students with Loyola and the greater Chicago community through an international lens, using conversations, art, reflection, and exploration.

At the end of one year in the Global Living-Learning Community, students will be able to:

  1. Discuss important elements of a culture and/or religion other than one's own
  2. Create connections between international and domestic students
  3. Explore the Loyola and Chicago communities from a global perspective
  4. Articulate at least two important areas of global ethical concern
  5. Have meaningful conversations about global issues
  6. Reflect on observations and experiences with people from cultures and identities different than one’s own

Global LLC Point of Contact

Mary Usher, Assistant Director, Global Initiatives

Amy Soub, Director, International Student and Scholar Services
