Daniel P. Pepe

Instructor, Management

Dr. Pepe works predominately in business ethics. With a background in philosophy and the history of ethics, he teaches classes that focus on questions of moral responsibility in business. This includes an analysis of the forms of practical agency and also their larger social origins, so as to evaluate the contexts and power structures in which individuals and business entities confront moral claims.

Dr. Pepe’s research examines ethical concepts of happiness, the moral status of need, problems of bureaucracy and organizational behavior, and the history of virtue ethics (especially Adam Smith).
