Demetrios Komnenos is a Lecturer of Economics with extensive business consulting experience. He has managed numerous business projects, provided management training, and coordinated business growth initiatives.

In teaching, Demetrios focuses on integrating across different economic principles and functional business areas with an ability to use his international exposure and multi-cultural acquaintance. Also, he emphasizes on the importance of economics in decision-making for efficient business operation. His interests include areas of international business, business-government relationship, economics inequality, and the politics of income redistribution.

During his years in management consulting, he addressed challenging business strategy issues using his capabilities in various business areas to increase corporate efficiency and coordinate profit maximization. Frequently, he was called upon to investigate hidden potential within the organization and analyze areas with lost efficiency in order to create and plan strategies for business growth and implement high profitability increases. He worked in banking, financial consulting, maritime shipping, healthcare, and financial services sectors. He is capable, by training and experience, to perform very efficiently in highly regulated industries, where the business-government relationship is a crucial factor of success.
