"Looking back, I wish the trip would’ve lasted forever; it all came to an end so quickly," wrote Emmanuel Ezeocha (BBA ’25).
It's hard to believe that our trip to San Francisco is already over. I had an amazing time there and took so much away from it. Over the past week, we had the opportunity to visit top tech companies, network with industry professionals and alumni, and immerse ourselves in the dynamic culture of San Francisco. We visited companies like Gilead Sciences, Grant Thornton, and Salesforce. My favorite site visit was to Reach Capital. The insight I gained from there was profound and inspiring, to say the least. During the trip, I gained valuable knowledge about the tech industry and the trends that are shaping its future. I learned about the importance of innovation, agility, and adaptability in the ever-changing landscape of the business and tech world.
In addition to the tech insights, I also learned a lot about myself and my ability to navigate new environments and build meaningful relationships with people from diverse backgrounds. Just this past week alone, I’ve grown so close and gotten to know my peers on a deeper level to the point where it feels like we’ve known each other for years. The trip gave me the chance to step out of my comfort zone, challenge my assumptions, and expand my perspective on what's possible in my future career. There were many memorable moments I made with my newfound friends during this trip that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The Quinlan Ramble to San Francisco has not only broadened my understanding of the business and technology world but also highlighted the significance of having a community and feeling connected to it. Through this trip, I realized that being part of a supportive community of like-minded individuals can enhance personal growth and professional development.
I walked away from San Francisco feeling a lot more confident in myself, both personally and professionally. I am incredibly grateful to experience this life-changing networking opportunity, as it has given me a deeper appreciation for the transformative power of technology and the importance of lifelong learning and growth. I had the privilege to meet and learn from many incredible individuals and build meaningful connections in San Francisco that’s provided me with a new perspective on life. The knowledge and connections I gained have undoubtedly aided me in my career goals. Looking back, I wish the trip would’ve lasted forever; it all came to an end so quickly. Ultimately, this journey left me feeling inspired and ready to take on any challenge ahead.
