Graduation
The Quinlan School of Business holds its commencement ceremony in May for MBA and MS students who complete degree requirements. Diplomas are awarded at the end of each term provided students have met the requirements for degree completion and submitted the graduation application by the deadlines listed below.
- Fall Term: July 1
- Winter Term: July 1
- Spring Term: December 1
- Summer Term: December 1
The graduation application is located in LOCUS at "Academics" and "Apply for Graduation."
After submitting the graduation application, students receive a confirmation email and a graduation audit prepared by Quinlan GSB staff that is sent to their LUC e-mail. Contact Quinlan GSB Office (QuinlanGrad@luc.edu) if there is a discrepancy.
Note LOCUS will not allow you to apply for the graduation term beyond the deadline. Late applicants must apply for the next available quarter. Students who miss the application deadline will not receive their degree until the end of the following term.
For more information, please contact Mark Law, Associate Director, in the Quinlan School of Business graduate programs.
Honors
MBA and MS students graduating in the top 20 percent of their class are invited by the Quinlan School of Business to apply for Beta Gamma Sigma, the international Business Honors Society (www.betagammasigma.org). Qualified graduates are invited to apply throughout the year.
Students graduating with a GPA of 4.0 will be recognized with High Dean's Honors. Those with a GPA of 3.9 will earn Dean's Honors. Certificates are mailed to the address listed in LOCUS after degrees are awarded.
