Application Process
Baumhart Scholars is a highly-selective program within the Quinlan MBA. Scholars must meet all current MBA admission requirements, plus:
- Have at least 3 years of work experience with a clear progression in leadership responsibilities
- Have a demonstrated commitment to environmental and social issues
- Have a vision for how to use this MBA experience to advance their career and their impact
Scholars must also go through an interview process with Baumhart Center staff and advisory council members.

- Growth Statement
- Impact Statement
- Two letters of recommendation
- GMAT/GRE is optional (requirement waived) for the upcoming academic year
- Upon review of applications, select candidates will be invited to a virtual interview as a second step in the application process
Official Documents
Official transcripts are those that are sent directly by the college/university to Loyola University Chicago. Transcripts sent by the student to Loyola are considered unofficial documents, and while they may be utilized for initial review of your application, official transcripts are still required. Official documents should be sent by the institution to gradapp@luc.edu.
International Applicant Requirements
An official English language proficiency exam is required for international applicants whose native language is not English. If you have non-U.S. educational credentials, you are required to submit an official transcript evaluation. The transcript evaluation cannot be waived.
