About
Professor Pelissero's teaching and research interests include urban and state politics, urban management, and higher education. He teaches American Politics, Urban Politics, and Chicago Politics on a regular basis. His publications include: Managing Urban America, 8th ed. (CQ Press, 2016), and Cities, Politics and Policy: A Comparative Analysis (CQ Press, 2003). He has published in the American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, American Journal of Political Science, Western Political Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly, Public Administration Review, Urban Affairs Review, Journal of Urban Affairs, Urban Affairs Quarterly, and Economic Development Quarterly. He is the former Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Loyola and frequently speaks and consults on issues in Higher Education in the United States.
