Retreats
Our Ignatian tradition invites individuals to consider participating in the various retreats offered. Retreats are opportunities for individuals to disconnect from their normal routines, build community, reflect on one's personal journey, and actively make meaning by integrating experiences of life, relationships, and faith.
Inner-Mission Employee Retreat
The Inner-Mission Employee Retreat seeks to assist employees in exploring, discerning, and affirming their personal mission and its connection to the mission of Loyola University. The retreat challenges each participant to take time to reflect on their individual purpose and meaning.
Learn MoreFaculty Writing Retreat
Loyola’s Mission Integration team created this opportunity for faculty growing out of listening to you and our relationships with mission offices at other Jesuit Colleges and Universities. The idea is simple – provide faculty with a few days away to focus on their own individual writing and/or teaching projects – whatever they may be – in the context of Loyola’s mission and community. While most of your time will be unscheduled and private, the group will come together each morning for a brief time of spiritual focus and each evening socially to do some communal sharing and reflection on our vocation as educators and scholars.
Learn MoreIgnatian Contemplation Retreat
The Ignation Contemplation Retreat provides time for personal reflection and solitude. The retreat is built on entering into a time of quiet reflection and meditation. After offering an orientation to the retreat, participants are invited into two days of silence. A few optional sessions on Ignation spirituality will be presented. Spiritual direction will be available throughout the retreat.
Learn MoreSpiritual Exercises in Everyday Life Retreat
The Spiritual Exercises are an unfolding series of prayers, meditations, and reflections put together by St. Ignatius of Loyola from his own personal spiritual experience and that of others to whom he listened. The process of the Spiritual Exercises respects the uniqueness of each person and leads participants to a deeper relationship with God and others.
Learn MoreBusy Person Retreat
The Busy Person Retreat is open to all employees during the season of Lent. Participants commit to weekly prayer and weekly spiritual direction. Mission Integration will provide prayer resources and spiritual direction introductions.
