Antonio Castillo

About

Antonio Castillo is the founder and managing partner of Vigilant Training Group LLC., a leadership consulting group whose mission is to help organizations navigate the white waters of today’s business environment. In addition, Antonio is an adjunct professor at Quinlan School of Business, Executive and Professional Education Center, and Business Leadership Hub.

Antonio has more than 30 years of experience in corporate learning development. His aptitude in leadership development, executive coaching, coaching, mentoring, strategic planning, organizational design, and talent management has permitted him to work successfully with companies and organizations globally. He continues to coach, teach, and motivate people in a practical, no-nonsense way so they may achieve tangible results and skills that help them push through everyday challenges in life, and at work.

Antonio earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Psychology/Organizational Design and Theater from Northwestern University. He is certified in various disciplines including: InsideOut Coaching, MBTI, and Insights Discovery. He has extensive experience as a Motivational Speaker and in Leadership Development, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Internal Consulting, Executive Coaching, Mentoring, Succession Planning, Program Design and Facilitation, 360 Degree, Voice Dialogue Coaching, Acting Coaching, Emotional Management, Behavioral Change Soft Skill Training, Voice Dialogue, Adult Learning Theories, Change Management, Web Based Training, and Advanced Facilitation. Antonio draws upon the knowledge, experience, and perspectives he gains from "real-world" successes and failures as a leader, manager, entrepreneur, and consultant. He previously held positions in the corporate world in sales (international & domestic), marketing, product development, and talent management.

In 2015, Antonio partnered with UNO (Unified Neighborhood Organization) in Chicago to create and direct the Corporate Leadership Institute (CLI). The mission of the CLI is to provide leadership development programs to rising Hispanic leaders to help them develop and strengthen their leadership skill sets and competencies.

In 2019, Antonio was re-appointed to the position of Planning and Zoning Commissioner for the Village of Lake Zurich, IL, a position he has had the privilege to hold for 15 years.

In addition, under the name of Tony Castillo, Antonio is a professional actor. Since 1991 he has been a member of both SAG-AFTRA, & Actors Equity. He currently is an elected Board Member of the Chicago Local of SAG-AFTRA, chairs the Chicago Local EEO Diversity Committee, and sits on the National EEO Diversity Board of SAG-AFTRA in Hollywood, CA. He continues to coach and mentor actors and others within the industry.
