Loyola's Side Hustle Showcase offers students the opportunity to present their business—think of it as a science fair for side hustles. Ten selected students will showcase their businesses in the Schreiber Center Lobby, with the chance to win up to $500 in prize money. Whether you’re crafting handmade goods, offering digital services, or pursuing something entirely unique, this is your moment to share your hustle with the Loyola community.
Event info
Each participant will have a designated table to decorate and showcase their business's products or services. During the event, participants are encouraged to provide an overview of their business to visitors and answer attendee questions. While sales are not permitted at the event, participants can promote their websites and social media accounts to attendees.
Date: Tuesday, March 25
Time: 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Location: Schreiber Center Lobby

Interested participants should complete the application form below. Ten businesses will be chosen to showcase at the final event.
Application Deadline: Saturday, February 22
Eligibility: Applicants must be current Loyola University Chicago students with an operational business that has been active for at least six months.
Selection Process: A review committee will evaluate applications based on creativity, feasibility, and the overall potential of the business.
Award breakdown
The Peer Award ($250): Voted on by event participants, who will evaluate each other's creativity, presentation, execution, development, and other key factors.
The Judges’ Award ($250): Decided by a panel of anonymous expert judges visiting the showcase. Participants will be assessed on criteria such as viability, innovation, market understanding, and more.
Note: Monetary prizes are subject to change based on available funding.
