She is currently an attorney in Chicago at the Cook County Office of the Public Guardian. In this role, she represents children in abuse and neglect proceedings in Juvenile Court, spending the majority of her time as a litigator in the courtroom, and counseling clients on a wide range of topics related to their future permanency goals, and service related needs. She also mobilized, trained and served alongside community members, and collaborated with service organizations to design community events focused on social justice issues, including education inequality, youth development, homelessness, and food access. Talia also spent multiple years as a pre-school teacher in Chicago.
