About

Nicole Scott, is the Vice President of Compliance, Chief Information Security Officer, and Assistant Privacy Officer for ISMIE Mutual Insurance Company and Illinois State Medical Society.

Mrs. Scott is an experienced certified compliance and ethics professional (CCEP) and a certified health care privacy compliance professional (CHPC) which represents her advanced level of ability and experience in compliance processes to assist healthcare and business organizations understand and address legal and regulatory obligations and to promote organizational governance and integrity through the management of an effective compliance program. Mrs. Scott also advises on how to maintain the integrity and security of data in accordance with HIPAA, HITECH, consumer privacy laws, and data security laws. Previously, she specialized in medical professional liability claims management where she gained extensive experience in claims litigation and system integrations and process changes. 

Mrs. Scott the is a graduate the University of Cincinnati College of Law and the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, where she received her Masters of Business Administration from with a focus on Corporate Management. Mrs. Scott is an author in the “The Law of Medical Practice in Illinois”, updated annually (West Group, 2018 Edition) and has served as the Assistant Editor for the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys (IAHA) Annual Survey of Health Law since 2019.
