About
Nicole Schur is a Staff Attorney in the Community Services & Outreach program at Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA). In her role at CGLA, she provides full-service records relief for clients and is the lead attorney for Markham Live Call, where she represents otherwise self-represented petitioners facing objections to their petitions to seal and expunge. In addition to those duties, she also drafts petitions to seal and expunge criminal records for self-represented petitioners through CGLA’s Help Desk. Finally, she provides outreach to communities in need of records relief through Know Your Rights Presentations.
Nicole Schur is a former clerk for the Honorable Justice Mary L. Mikva of the Illinois Appellate Court and spent a year teaching English in Lübeck, Germany, as a Fulbright grantee. Writing is her passion, and her fiction can be found in the literary magazine Pigeon Pages.
