About

Mr. Moe practices full-time with the Illinois Attorney General in the Civil Appeals division. As an adjunct at Loyola, Mr. Moe teaches legal writing to first-year students, appellate advocacy to second-year students, and coaches the Phillip C. Jessup international law moot court competition team.

At the Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Moe represents state officials and agencies in state and federal courts of all levels. Prior to his appellate practice, Mr. Moe worked in the office’s Government Representation division. He managed a wide caseload, mostly civil and mostly defense, but touching on all aspects of state chancery practice.

Mr. Moe previously served as senior law clerk to the Honorable Anna M. Loftus of the Circuit Court of Cook County. In law school, he was an executive editor of the Loyola Law Journal, member of the Willem C. Vis arbitration team, and captain of the Phillip C. Jessup moot court team. He has published a number of articles on areas of Illinois legal history and procedure; his current research interests lie at the intersection of forensic and computational linguistics.
