Patricia N. Jjemba
About
Patricia Jjemba is a proud first-generation Ugandan American, who has most recently made Chicago, Illinois her home. She learned first-hand the importance of the legal system and its ability to advocate for those who do not always have a seat at the table. It was her own personal experience with the legal system and the public sector that ultimately propelled her to commit to a career of public service.
Ms. Jjemba obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Diplomacy & Foreign Affairs from Miami University of Ohio and Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. She is currently licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Illinois.
Today, Ms. Jjemba represents the State of Illinois and its constituents as an Assistant Attorney General (AAG) for the State of Illinois. In her capacity as an AAG, she regularly investigates, litigates, and works on legislative efforts related to patterns and practices of discrimination in an effort to protect the civil rights of all. Ms. Jjemba serves as an adjunct professor in Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s Legal Writing Program.
