Shuttle Service for the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius Mass and Picnic
June 9, 2022
Dear Faculty, Staff, and Retirees,
After a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Human Resources, Mission Integration, and University Staff Council are excited to announce the return of the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius Mass and Picnic in 2022!
On Friday, July 29, we will celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Ignatius with Mass and a picnic on the Lake Shore Campus. Festivities will include food and refreshments, a live band, several fun games (i.e., Bingo), raffle prizes, and an opportunity to support LEEF.
Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Madonna della Strada Chapel. The picnic will follow and take place on the East Quad of the Lake Shore Campus, or in Damen Student Center in the event of inclement weather. As a friendly reminder, current faculty and staff will be asked to show their Campus Card Identification at the picnic to ensure that we are able to provide lunch for everyone invited.
Important Information on Transportation
Complimentary shuttle service from the Health Sciences and Water Tower Campuses to the Lake Shore Campus and back will be arranged based on need. Please RSVP by Monday, June 27 to request shuttle service, and list your campus location.
The health and safety of the LUC community continues to be our primary focus. Accordingly, the event is subject to the University’s COVID protocols that may be in effect at that time.
We look forward to enjoying food, fun, and fellowship with you under the sun.
Sincerely,
Winifred L. Williams, PhD
Vice President,
Chief Human Resources Officer
