Why are you looking forward to being a Gannon Scholar?

I am looking forward to being a Gannon Scholar because it is a close-knit community of peers with diverse interests united by a common goal: making a difference regarding gender equity and social justice issues. As a Gannon Scholar, I hope to expand my role in empowering women to find confidence in their identities, expressions, and backgrounds by joining a supportive community of scholars passionate about social justice. I am also excited to grow as an advocate through active dialogue and impactful engagement with the Gannon Program, Loyola, and surrounding communities.
