Faculty Teaching Awards
2024-25 Teaching Awards Nomination Process
Eligible instructors must be nominated by a student or colleague in order to be considered for a Faculty Teaching Award. Once nominated, nominees will receive notification from the FCIP team to alert them to their nomination and explain the process to submit required materials supporting their consideration for a given award. Nomination and Eligibility Requirements are outlined below.
Nomination and Eligibility Requirements
Full-Time Faculty Eligibility
Full time Faculty (all tenure track and non-tenure track instructors who are teaching full time) are eligible for the following awards:
- St. Ignatius Loyola Award for Excellence in Teaching
- The Provost’s Award for Excellence in Teaching Freshmen
- Peter Hans Kolvenbach Award for Engaged Teaching
- Alice B. Hayes Award for Advising and Mentoring
Part-Time Faculty Eligibility
Instructors with Part-Time status are eligible for the Magis Teaching Award for Part-Time Instructors.
Nomination Form for Students and Colleagues
If nominated, instructors will be invited to submit additional materials to support their candidacy for the award.
