About
Michelle Peters is from Cleveland, Ohio and has split her adult life between Cleveland and Chicago. She began her role as Assistant Director of the Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship at Loyola University Chicago in November 2023 where she manages the academic internship program and cultivates partnerships for students and our community-based co-educators.
Prior to joining the CELTS team, Michelle worked in alumni relations and development for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where she aided in the strategy and communication of the principal gifts team. She began her higher education career in academic and financial advising for the bachelor of science in nursing students at Chamberlain University in Cleveland. Her professional experiences span the worlds of experiential education, recreation, and professional sports and she is excited to bring her passion for lifelong learning and relationship building back to Loyola. Michelle firmly believes in education as a tool for liberation.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys cooking, being active, and watching women’s sports!
