What are you involved in on-campus? Pep band.

Why did you choose to become a CS minor? My journey to being a CS Minor has a bit of a funny and twisted start. My junior year, I noticed I had some credits to fill before graduation. I could have graduated early but with how the School of Education is set up that is very hard to do. So I was looking to scam the Loyola system into giving me a minor by taking as few classes as possible with the credits I already had. After doing some research and going to the Minor Fair, I stumbled upon the CS Minor. It was appealing to me because I could get a free t-shit and a St. Ignatius key chain. But when I thought more about the minor, it worked well with the credits I already had and future classes I would wanted to take, and I could see it helping me in my future career. All in all, some silly reasons lead to me to make a really good decision. Maybe it was God then who really brought me to the CS Minor. Who knows but I'm glad I did go through with it.

What is a fond memory you've had as a CS minor? A fond memory I have was the CS banquet this March. I had never been to the CS Banquet before since it was my first year in the minor. When school was normal, I was really looking forward to the banquet. But when COVID-19 hit, the CS banquet was a positive event I needed in my life. Quarantine was a lonely time and it was so nice to get a free meal, break bread with my fellow CS minors and have good conversation from the CS Banquet

Who is your favorite saint? This is a hard question. The saint I chose for my confirmation name was St. Therese of Liseux. I read her story and admired her life. She had a really difficult life with many family members dying and kept her faith the whole time through. The next biggest contender is Joan of Arc. She had always been my favorite saint growing up because of her epic story leading an army and saving France and all. But I felt it was too cliché to chose her for confirmation. Currently, however, I am brought back to Joan. I am doing history research on Medieval Amazons and warrior women, including Joan.

What are your career goals and aspirations? I have short term and long term career goals. For the short term I am going to be a high school history teacher. While teaching I would also love to coach volleyball. After teaching for a while, I want to work in museums which would be my dream job.

Who is your favorite Catholic author? My favorite Catholic author would be Giovani Boccaccio. I'm not actually sure how religious he was himself but there are many Catholics in the Decameron. If Boccaccio doesn't count then my second choice would be Erasmus. I like both of these authors because of their place in history and the satires they created

Best Catholic Studies class taken at Loyola? FNAR 201

What has been your favorite service experience? My favorite service experience was the one I did for CATH 296. I volunteered with the boys volleyball team at Sullivan high school as an assistant coach. I wasn't there for long because of COVID but I really enjoyed all the time I spent there. Volleyball is my favorite sport and I played all throughout middle school and high school. Not only was it great being on the court to help out with drills but I have a passion for exercise and fitness. I loved getting to share my passions with the players to encourage them to continue with the sport and exercise

Pet peeve? My pet peeve is very specific and hard to explain so it might not make any sense if you haven't been in this situation. My pet peeve happens when people tell a story that has a punch line that isn't particularly funny. My qualm is not with having a poor punch line but what bothers me is when the story teller then tells the poor punch line a second time, expecting it to somehow be funnier the next time
