Kimberly Mailey Gale

Kimberly is a beacon of leadership as Thresholds’ Senior Vice President of Talent Management, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Thresholds is Chicago’s largest mental health agency. Fueled by connecting with individuals and making a difference, Kimberly oversees the DEI efforts aimed at delivering racial equity and justice lenses to our work, including board metrics, external partnerships, training, and talent development.

Kimberly has served in numerous roles during her 28 years at Thresholds, including Residential Manager, Vocational Coordinator, Program Director, Associate Director, Vice President, and now Sr. Vice President. Kimberly is a personable leader and says she prays every day that she meets their expectations as a leader.

Kimberly is one of Threshold's founding Cultural Humility Committee members, has served on the Chicago Mayor Taskforce for two terms, co-authored the statewide MollyProject ritual job readiness tool, served on the board of the YMCA Black and Latino Achievers, and Alumni Board for the Rehabilitation Counseling at Illinois Institute of Technology. Kimberly partnered with the Chicago Public School system to bring the Individual Placement Supported (IPS) Employment model to high school students, as well as a variety of mental health providers at state-level workshops and conferences. She also partnered with Workforce Development to bring Thresholds’ first sexual harassment all-staff training.
